Electronic Design ENGINEER

OPTICAL ENGINEER
•• Responsibilities would include specifying lens systems to meet design specifications, implementing procedures for setup and calibration of laser diode-based optical systems, testing and qualifying optics, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that optical products meet design specifications.
•• Must have knowledge of the optical parameters of laser diodes.
•• Knowledge of non-linear optics, diode pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, thermoelectric coolers, waveguides, fiber optics, and heat management is a definite plus.
•• Requires a BS in physics or optics or significant experience in the electro-optics industry.

Sales Engineer
•• Responsibilities would include the sale of laser products to OEMs. Good communication skills a must. Knowledge of laser diode operation and theory a plus. Familiarity with diode laser applications—such as flow cytometry, microscopy, spectroscopy, interferometry, and bioanalysis—also a plus.
•• Requires periodic travel and previous sales experience.
•• Position also requires a degree in electronics or significant experience in the photonics or electro-optics industry.
