LITTLE ROCK, Ark Sept. 16, 2024 – Power Technology has agreed to provide a mentor in Startup Junkie’s 2024 Global Market Expansion Accelerator program. Fayetteville-based Startup Junkie Consulting has partnered with the Korean Entrepreneurship Foundation (KoEF) to bring 15 South Korean startups to Northwest Arkansas for six weeks to foster international business relationships and support Korean startups. Walter Burgess, Power Technology co-CEO, will leverage the company’s long history of international partnerships to support the program’s goals. He is a fourth-generation entrepreneur and an experienced mentor to startup companies.

“Power Technology has longstanding relationships with distribution partners and core suppliers in Korea. We are very familiar with the minutiae of export controls and how to best leverage them for the good of all parties. From this experience, I will be proud to offer our perspective to these entrepreneurs on best practices for conducting business in the U.S.,” said Burgess.

International business is central to the lifeblood of Power Technology. The company has been honored with multiple awards for distinction in international business including the President’s E Award for Exports, as well as two Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Global Trade.

The South Korean startups include companies across various industries, from AI and digital transformation to healthcare and robotics.

The Global Market Expansion Accelerator program, backed by the South Korean government, began earlier this month in Seoul. It will move to Northwest Arkansas on September 24 with a focus on engaging with local enterprises, ecosystem leaders, and mentors. It will conclude on November 7.
