Power Technology Introduces New HeNe Power Supply

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 18, 2013 — The SL45 dual-input voltage power supply from Power Technology Inc. generates a small amount of heat and offers improved conversion efficiencies for use with HeNe lasers.

 The current-regulated, switching-mode power supply operates from AC input voltages of 100 to 300 and 200 to 260 V of alternating current. The unit is fully potted in a molded case for protection from dust, moisture and circuit access.

It delivers a conversion efficiency >80 percent. A CDRH delay option is available that provides a 5-s delay in the start of the laser tube, and an active filter option is available to reduce ripple. The unit operates in the temperature range from –20 to 60 °C.
